few days ago I read an information alleging that a priest had come and
n defense of human dignity seen from an ontological perspective . After consulting the meaning of this buzzword, I concluded that what the priest wanted to say that human dignity is inherent in every human being, by the mere fact of being. Human dignity is universal, not just the few predicable.
This assertion, that in principle all we subscribe, is actually under attack from various fields.
What is actually that of human dignity ? This concept may be at least three interpretations:

What is actually that of human dignity ? This concept may be at least three interpretations:
- Every human being, by the mere fact of being, and from conception to death, has an inviolable dignity, intrinsic value regardless of their status, age, sex, etc. That dignity stems from the fact of being children of God. When ever told my mother, rest in peace, that my life was shit, she replied that it was not so, that I was a child of God. How well our elders speak.
- as predicable dignity of every human being by the mere fact of being, as in the first case, but with the difference that is not God the source of the dignity of every human being. Dignity in this case is a human creation, with which we have adopted. Human beings would not itself an intrinsic value, but humanity has decided to "shield" every man and woman giving inalienable dignity.
- Dignity is something ethereal. It may not be exclusive of human beings. Even some human beings may lack dignity, depending on your circumstances. This idea sounds absurd, but slowly seeps. As an example, the weather was discussed whether to grant formal rights to evolutionarily closest animal to man. Proponents of this idea claimed that the value of the chimpanzees was somewhat like that of any human being. Thus, blogs as "Great Ape Project" reads: "Do not say chimp, say person" or "Great apes meet the definition of people. " I'm not sure a hundred per cent, almost put his hand on fire in this debate even got to hear that the apes had greater value than some human beings (people incapacitated by serious illness.)
Giving dignity to all members of the human species has been a very good idea. Much of the credit for this achievement goes to the Christianity, which considered and a couple of millennia too weak to be reckoned with.
Remember that we should not play with the concept of dignity is not only necessary but essential. Human dignity as something belonging to all humans should be an uncontroversial idea. Discuss their accuracy can cause civilization to slide, as in the not too pasts, to barbarism.
